FAQ: |
Q: What do we wear? All players must bring water, shin pads, sun protection (hat and sunscreen). NO studs to be worn and any suitable shorts, shirts and socks can be worn. Q: How are children graded? U6 – U8s teams are formed based on the children’s friendships, or allocated based on their age if no friends are noted on file at registration. Individual grading starts from U9 with similar ability players where possible placed together for optimal learning environments. From U10s and above, each child is individually graded based on their ability and placed into a relevant team. Grading prioritises player skill development over existing friendships, particularly for the top team of that age. For more information on the grading process, please take a look at the Grading Policy here Q: Do we need to come if we are a returning team? All parents and teams are asked to attend as a chance to meet other parents in your child’s playing group and decide of training days/times… plus it is a chance for the committee to give everyone a run-down of the season and upcoming events. Q: I am interested in coaching my child’s team, what should I do? Contact our Coaching Coordinator Les Reid via email at: coaching@beecroftfc.com.au or come down and chat to one of the committee members at Grading Day! Q: I am new, what should I bring? New Members & Players will need to come to Cheltenham Oval on Sunday 16th February between 8AM – 1PM to have their ID checked (bring either birth certificate, passport or for older players Drivers Licence). Our Registrar Janelle will be at the grounds from 8AM – 1PM to help with any Registration issues you may be facing. |
