WHEN DOES THE SEASON START AND FINISH?

A typical season commences in early April and finishes in late August. With training to usually to commence in March.

WHAT IS THE COST?

WHAT IS MY AGE GROUP?

To be eligible to play in “over age” grades, a player must be over the relevant age on 31st December in the previous year.
e.g. To play Over 35’s in 2023 you must be 35 on 31st December the 2022
To be eligible to play in “under age” grades, a player must be under the relevant age on the 31st December of the previous year
e.g. To play Under 6 in 2023 means you must be 5 or younger on 31st December 2022,
Under 7 in 2023 (must be 6 or younger on 31st December 2022)
Under 8 in 2023 (must be 7 or younger on 31st December 2022)
etc… Under 18 in 2023 (must be 17 or younger on 31st December 2022)

WHO COACHES THE PLAYERS?

All teams require a coach. Our club is run on volunteers and we ask parents, siblings and friends of players to consider coaching or managing a team.

WHEN DO TEAMS TRAIN?

Teams train once a week, generally for an hour at our Home Ground Cheltenham Oval. Our committee will work with Coaches and Managers to allocate and plan the training roster.
For U6 and U7, training is held on Monday nights from 5:00 – 6:00 at Cheltenham Oval.
For U8 and U9 training is held on Wednesday nights from 5:00 – 6:00 at Cheltenham Oval.
All Beecroft Minis teams are encouraged to take part in our cooperative training sessions. These sessions are held by professional trainers who run the coaches and minis through a series of drills focusing on ball handling, ball control and general gameplay.

WHEN ARE GAMES PLAYED?

Competition games take place as follows:
– Saturday mornings for ages Under 6 – Under 18 Mixed / Boys.
– Saturday or Sunday afternoon for Senior Mixed.
– Sunday mornings for age Under 6 – Under 18 Girls. 
– Sunday afternoon for Seniors Women.
Kick off times vary from roughly 8:30am to 11:30am for youth and 1pm, 3pm and 5pm for adults – a full draw will be made available showing all game times and venues late March / early April.
